Interns were driving Dana up the walls. Question after question was quickly eating away at her sanity. To begin with, the blonde wasn’t much a people person. With nagging, clingy teenagers thrown into the mix, she found herself wanting to escape in the worst way. Sneaking out of the OR and away from her problems, Dana decided to slip away to the other end of the hospital. Very few hiding places seemed to appeal to her at the moment. Not the lab, the morgue, the ER. Kate was busy trying to find a way to express her feelings, Stephanie seemed to always give her the cold shoulder and Raina was busy trying to deal with her overnight issues.
There seemed to only be one last place she dared leave for. Eveny’s door sat in front of her, handle so close to her grasp. Being in her office, she was studying her books in anticipation of her next surgery — surgery she had to explain to her interns. So she wanted to be completely aware of everything. Plunged into her book, she had barely hear the door of her office opening, being in another room to get even more concentration. She didn’t bother to get up at first, until she heard Dana’s voice calling her through her office.
Dana Mitchell was a lovely woman, really — but she had some troubles getting along with the interns whom she loathed. That Eveny knew for well. Sighing she got up and walked to her main office, finding the head surgeon sitting in her chair. “Dana you really need to sort out your problems. Of course you can stay here — but I don’t think hiding away from them is the best solution…” Eveny smiled. April had already told her about interns petrified in front of Dana. She was a brilliant surgeon, but not such an amazing teacher.
“Then you’re really desperate, poor dear…” Eveny said while putting on a compassionate smile for her colleague. As a...
